Job Purpose

The Senior Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Officer supports day-to-day customer service activities including onboarding, client service requests, KYC reviews, and on-going diligence, working closely with the Customer Relationship and Business Development Teams in responding to the clients’ concerns in a timely manner. He/She will be responsible for second level approvals by ensuring client applications, activities, and transactions are crosschecked against fraud and established watchlists, while complying with anti-money laundering regulations.

General Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for ensuring a quick, seamless, and highest level of customer service for our retail and institutional clients in relation to onboarding.

  2. Review and authorize the onboarding of new client relationships by analyzing and ensuring the completeness of the client documentation, conducting customer and enhanced due diligence, completing client risk profiles, and process relationship updates using PDAX KYC tools.

  3. Evaluate, approve, and endorse the following functions in a timely manner and ensure the completeness of the clients’ submitted documents in compliance with the requirements:

    1. Carry out KYC procedures and customer due diligence.

    2. Perform periodic review on clients’ profiles and refresh documentation as necessary.

  4. Work closely with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Team and other internal functions to deliver departmental and company KPIs.

  5. Analyze data and trends and escalate suspicious client transactions in compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.

  6. Continuously innovate by automating available data and streamlining and improving existing processes to ensure we are as efficient and effective as possible.

  7. Identify possible opportunities and pain points to strengthen and improve engagement with clients through existing CRM tools.

  8. Any other function that may be assigned by the Head of Customer Relations and KYC Lead.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience in customer due diligence or related function.
  2. Experience with watchlist and online screening is an advantage.
  3. Preferably with knowledge on Anti-Money Laundering Act and non-banking financial institutions in the Philippines.
  4. Able to excellently manage time to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure, especially to anticipate contingencies concerning nature of work.
  5. Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing and highly-regulated environment.
  6. Self-motivated, detail oriented, and proactive fast learner with interest in operations and team management.
  7. Be an excellent team player with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  8. Willing to work in shifts and on weekends.
